"The 1st Lady of Chicago” Chella H was born and raised in Chicago's most notorious projects including “Ida B Wells” & “The Robert Taylor Homes”. All her life she resided in Chicago’s World renowned Grand Boulevard, where the Famous “Bronzeville” is found… better known as “The Low End”. This neighborhood is known specifically for its contributions to the entertainment industry through the likes of several famous blues, jazz and gospel singers during the era of the “Harlem Renaissance”. It is also the home of the original “Policy King” Sam Young who arrived there from New Orleans in 1885 and created the “Numbers” business which later became the Lottery. Coming from such a historic Neighborhood it’s not hard to realize where Chella H aka “Jenny Low End” aka “The 1st Lady of Chicago” gets her relentless hustle and musical ability from.
Early on she began writing songs and using music as her creative outlet to deal with issues such as growing up fatherless, her mother’s battle with drug addiction and teen pregnancy. She began her music career alongside other Low End Rappers in a group called “The Fam” which was dismantled after the main member was incarcerated. After losing her only brother & Son’s father within an 8 day period she decided to hold off on music and focus on keeping her family in order. Realizing it was impossible to abandon her love for music, she later joined forces with underground legend Bump J, the founding member of Chicago’s “Goon Squad” where she was crowned “The First Lady Of Chicago”. Shortly after, she then formed the all female organization “Get it Girlz, Inc. (currently known as “RBA” aka “Mermaid Mafia) which helped her distribute her first project “Menstrual Pains” that sold 11,000 units independently. As a direct result of being unable to escape the harsh reality of her street life and Bump J’s incarceration, Chella H took some time off from music to get her household in order by raising her son. After getting her son settled she decided to come out of her short term retirement to get the ball rolling once again.
